Welcome to CFX Trivia!

As a special thanks for our fans and customers, CFX is running a trivia contest on our Facebook Page! Every weekday at 5PM CST, starting on December 6, 2011 and running through February 29, 2012, we will post a trivia question on our Facebook page. The question can be about horror movies, CFX products and staff, effects industry, or just about anything vaguely CFX related. You can answer simply by posting a comment on the post with the question. For full rules and details, check out the Rules below.

Grand Prize: A mask of YOUR choosing from a soon-to-be-released list, featuring most of the masks from our new 2012 lineup! They haven't been announced yet, so follow this page and "Like" us on Facebook to keep up to date on the newest releases that you could win!

Occasionally, individual trivia questions will also be worth small prizes, such as a CFX drink coozie, a silicone toe or finger, or other fun CFX items. Stay tuned each day to see when those pop up!

Rarely, we will ask a very special Golden Ticket question. The rules on that one are weird, but check out the rules for details. The winners recieve a unique, hand-made silicone model of our trivia mascot, Groucho Carps.

The Rules of the Game

Everyone and anyone. Unless of course you are a current or past CFX employee, or family of such. All ages are welcome to play AND win! Just... make sure your parents are okay with it if you are under 18.

Every weekday, the question will be posted at or shortly after 5PM CST. The first person to answer the question correctly in comments section of the question is awarded the point (or whatever the worth is for that question on that day). The questions will be posted on our Facebook Page, and all answers must be submitted as comments there.

Anything related, specifically, loosely, or otherwise. We will ask horror movie questions, CFX questions, industry questions, F/X questions, Staff questions, riddles, Etc. Hey, we may even make you "find the fish" here and there. Maybe even everywhere.

Well, we will give some glimpses of masks not yet released and try to get you to guess what they are. The days that those questions pop up will be special prize days, and awarded after trivia has ended. You will be able to guess, and if you get it right, we will keep a record of it. But we will not tell you until trivia is over, lest we give away too many secrets. ;)

Once, and only once. You may not edit your answer and you may not answer more than once in the same questions unless given specific permission to do so. All second answers will be disregarded and deleted.

Each correct answer will be awarded one point. Some may be worth extra, some may have a prize attached, and some may have a bonus addendum. I will keep a tally of who has answered correctly, and will announce 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners by midnight on Leap Year 2012 (February 29th).

Every now and again, we will ask what's called a "Golden Ticket" Question in lieu of regular trivia that day. You will be given a "glimpse" of a new mask design, and you will be asked to guess what that design is. The first person who guesses correctly will be given a golden ticket, but not right away! Your ticket will come to you AFTER the masks are released. You won't even know if you won one until then, but we will. ;)

Only the cutest thing ever... We will give our Golden Ticket winners a very limited release special prize -- your very own squishy, adorable, silicone replica of trivia's favorite nomadic fishy fish, Mr. Groucho Carps, designed and hand-painted by Wes himself. Awwwww!

Find The Fish

Hello! It appears that our dear friend, Mr. Groucho Carps, has left home! He left fishbowls scattered all over our website, too! Help us find him! Here's how:

When we have a lead on his location, we'll post about it on Facebook. When that happens, start clicking on all of the fishbowls until you find the one he's hiding in. Be the first to respond to the original Facebook post with his current city, and we'll award you one Trivia point! It's as easy as that!
